Nineveh Inaugurates Specialized Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Hospital to Curtail Overseas Treatment Travel
Nineveh Governor, Abdul Qadir Al-Dakhil, announced the official opening of the Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Hospital, which has begun receiving cancer patients. The governor emphasized that this strategic step aims to end the suffering of patients who previously had to travel outside the province or abroad for specialized care. The facility is considered one of Iraq’s most significant qualitative health projects. Spanning three floors with a 100-bed capacity, it features 33 medical-standard isolation rooms, linear accelerators, a Hot Lab, and a PET Scan machine, alongside a comprehensive suite of modern medical equipment.
