Security Forces Foil Armed Attack and Arrest Suspects in the Capital, Baghdad

The Ministry of Interior announced the foiling of an attempted armed attack stemming from a tribal dispute in the capital, Baghdad, through a well-executed security ambush. The Ministry stated that police detachments, supported by the Federal Police and Karkh Patrol, managed to respond swiftly and cordon off the scene following an altercation that left one person injured. The operation resulted in the interception of a vehicle, the seizure of firearms including three Kalashnikov rifles and a pistol, and the arrest of five suspects planning to carry out the attack. Necessary legal actions have been taken against them pending their referral to the judiciary.
