Ministry of Agriculture Launches Shalb Seed Distribution Plan for the Summer Season

The Ministry of Agriculture announced the commencement of supplying farmers with Shalb (rice) seeds for the summer agricultural season. The National Seed Council approved a distribution plan allocating 35 kilograms per dunam from available varieties, processed on a first-come, first-served basis. The Council also established official mechanisms for receiving and storing locally produced seeds in several strategic facilities in Babil province and other areas, aiming to ensure the success of the agricultural plan and support national production.
