The Baghdad Operations Command issued a package of strict directives and guidelines to citizens and facility owners, coinciding with the noticeable rise in temperatures, aimed at reducing fire incidents and preserving public safety. The directives, based on the recommendations of the Civil Defense Directorate, included strict instructions to clear vehicles of flammable and explosive materials and avoid traveling during peak heat hours. The command also ordered the activation of joint supervisory committees to conduct rigorous inspections of safety procedures in hospitals, commercial centers, and fuel stations, ensuring the readiness of firefighting systems. The guidelines further included warnings against leaving gas cylinders in direct sunlight, urged the rationalization of energy use to avoid overloading electrical networks, and emphasized the necessity of using standardized protection devices and electrical equipment.
