Broad Condemnation of Targeting Places of Worship in Jordan and Calls for Wisdom and Peace

mesoiraq - The leader of the National Shiite Current, Muqtada al-Sadr, condemned the terrorist attack targeting Christian places of worship in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, considering the incident a subversive act aimed at distorting the values of religion, peace, and humanity.

Al-Sadr affirmed in a statement that such criminal acts are backed by agendas seeking to sow division and spark strife, calling for prioritizing the language of wisdom, peace, and moderation, while expressing sincere condolences to Christians and the families of the victims, and wishing security and stability for the region.

In the same context, the Jordanian Public Security Directorate announced that the armed attack targeting participants in a funeral procession in Karak Governorate, southern Jordan, resulted in a number of casualties and injuries.
