Civil Defense Rescues 6 Premature Babies and Extinguishes Fire at Baghdad Hospital

The Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced on Friday that Civil Defense teams successfully rescued six premature infants and contained a fire at Al-Numan Hospital in the Al-Adhamiya district of Baghdad, with no casualties reported. Major General Muqdad Miri, head of the ministry's Relations and Media Directorate, stated that the blaze was caused by an air conditioning unit malfunction in the premature care management room. He added that emergency teams executed a rapid and safe evacuation of the infants, fully controlling the fire in record time.
