Communications and Media Commission Announces Network Readiness to Accommodate Millions During Arbaeen Pilgrimage
The Communications and Media Commission announced the completion of its comprehensive technical plan in preparation for the Arbaeen pilgrimage, confirming the readiness of mobile networks to accommodate the high density of subscribers and data traffic. The plan included joint coordination to enhance infrastructure, adding new mobile and fixed stations, as well as boosting radio capacities and increasing the number of smart cells. Proactive maintenance was fully completed for hundreds of towers, alongside expansions, the addition of new frequencies, and connecting several towers to the optical fiber network. To ensure network stability, telecommunications companies doubled their field sales and government relations teams to secure continuous technical monitoring.
