Dollar Exchange Rates Rise as Gold Prices Stabilize in Iraqi Markets

Markets in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, recorded a noticeable increase in the exchange rates of the US dollar against the Iraqi dinar during morning trading, with the exchange rate reaching 152,700 dinars per $100. In the Kurdistan Region, rates reached 153,400 dinars per $100. In the gold markets, the global ounce price was recorded at $4,374, while local selling prices stabilized. The price for a mithqal of 21-karat gold reached 937,000 dinars, 18-karat reached 804,000 dinars, 22-karat reached 982,000 dinars, and 24-karat gold hit approximately 1.070 million dinars.
