Economic Boom in Duhok: Significant Increase in Local Grape and Honey Production

Official statistics confirmed a significant increase in grape production, reaching approximately 80,000 tons, an increase of 20,000 tons from the previous season. In the same sector, honey production witnessed a major boom, rising to 300 tons thanks to abundant rainfall and diverse vegetation. The festival contributes to boosting local marketing, supported by a government policy that bans grape imports during the harvest season to protect national products and support Iraqi farmers.
