Financial Audit Reveals Suspected Corruption in Purchasing Contracts of Oil Company in Dhi Qar

mesoiraq - The Parliamentary Integrity Committee revealed suspicions of corruption and financial violations at a pumping station affiliated with the Oil Pipelines Company in Dhi Qar Governorate. It stated that financial audit reports confirmed the expenditure of over 1.4 billion dinars to purchase drinking water within a short period, at an unjustified daily rate. The report indicated that the expenditures occurred outside administrative authorities and without official approvals, through the submission of fake receipts, as water was drawn for free from within the site and distributed using government vehicles without strict legal action.
