General Traffic Directorate Issues Preventive Guidelines for Drivers Amid Severe Heatwave
The General Traffic Directorate has issued a set of preventive recommendations for drivers to cope with the significant rise in summer temperatures, aiming to reduce traffic accidents and vehicle fires while ensuring the safety of road users. The Directorate emphasized the necessity of regular vehicle inspections, warning against leaving flammable materials, such as gas canisters and lighters, inside vehicles exposed to direct sunlight. Furthermore, it urged drivers to check fire extinguishers, inspect tires, and maintain proper air pressure, highlighting the importance of refueling at official stations and monitoring coolant levels to preserve engine efficiency.
