Government Proposals to Amend Traffic Laws Include Fines Reduction and Vehicle Tinting Regulations

The relevant traffic authorities have unveiled a new package of proposals to amend traffic laws aimed at easing financial and bureaucratic burdens on citizens. The proposed modifications include reducing traffic fines and abolishing the fine-doubling system, while simultaneously increasing penalties for driving against traffic. The new draft also sets maximum speed limits ranging from 100 to 140 kilometers per hour, depending on the road type. Regarding vehicle window tinting, authorities proposed allowing a free tinting allowance of up to 30 percent, to be implemented exclusively through official traffic departments to ensure security compliance. The authorities emphasized their ongoing efforts to unify traffic procedures across all provinces, noting that official statistics reflect a significant decrease in local traffic accidents compared to regional averages, according to global health indicators.
