Health Ministry Reports 114 Injuries and Two Deaths Following Ammonia Leak in Basra

mesoiraq - Iraq's Health Ministry has reported 114 injuries and two deaths following an ammonia leak at a fertilizer plant in Basra, confirming that medical care was provided to all affected individuals.

The ministry said that more than 50 ambulances were dispatched to the scene to support evacuation operations and transport injured people to healthcare facilities.

Most of the reported injuries were minor, while 21 patients remain hospitalized across several medical institutions in the province.

The ministry confirmed that the condition of the hospitalized patients is generally stable, with one case still requiring medical care and close monitoring.
