mesoiraq - The President of the Federal Integrity Commission, Dr. Mohammed Ali Al-Lami, emphasized the importance of integrating legislative and supervisory roles to enhance anti-corruption efforts and protect public funds. This came during a meeting with several Members of Parliament at the Iraqi Anti-Corruption Academy, where the Commission's mechanisms and the challenges it faces were reviewed. Al-Lami highlighted the necessity of legislative support for supervisory bodies through updating the legal framework. In turn, the MPs expressed their full support for the Commission as the primary defense line against corruption, affirming their commitment to enacting and amending laws necessary to enhance the effectiveness of supervisory measures.
