Integrity Commission and Presidency Agree on Enhancing Transparency and Protecting Public Funds

mesoiraq - The head of the Federal Integrity Commission, Mohamed Ali al-Laami, and the head of the Presidency Diwan, Yahya Ghazi al-Mohammedawi, affirmed on Thursday (September 10, 2026) the importance of integrated institutional efforts to combat corruption, protect public funds and create an attractive investment environment.

During the meeting, al-Laami stressed that the combined efforts of state institutions and society form a fundamental pillar for oversight bodies, enhancing their capacity to pursue corruption, track its proceeds and recover embezzled funds, praising the Presidency's continued support for anti-corruption efforts.

For his part, the head of the Presidency Diwan commended the Integrity Commission's efforts and recent campaigns that led to the prosecution of those involved in corruption cases at the expense of public funds, expressing hope for the purification of state institutions and the empowerment of honest employees.
