Integrity Commission Arrests Security Official for Extortion and Bribery in Anbar

mesoiraq - The Federal Commission of Integrity announced the arrest of an Interior Ministry personnel in Anbar Governorate while receiving a bribe red-handed from a citizen.

The commission explained that an investigation team executed the operation under judicial authority after the suspect attempted extortion by claiming an arrest warrant was issued against the victim and offering to cancel it for money.

The suspect and seized evidence were referred to the competent judiciary specializing in integrity cases to undergo legal proceedings under applicable laws.
