Iraq Aims to Boost Oil Exports and Holds Talks to Secure Navigation in Hormuz
The Ministry of Oil unveiled a strategic plan to transport a portion of southern fields' production through northern pipelines, aiming to exceed export rates of 700,000 barrels per day in accordance with agreements with Turkey. The Ministry stated that a government delegation held talks with Iran to ensure the smooth movement of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz. The government reaffirmed its focus on building economic partnerships with neighboring countries to channel revenues into comprehensive infrastructure development across the health, education, and transportation sectors.
