Iraq and Turkey Finalize Draft for Implementing the Development Road Project
mesoiraq - The Ministry of Transport announced on Friday that it has finalized with the Turkish side the draft for implementing the Development Road project between the two countries.
The ministry said in an official statement that representatives of the ministries of transport, oil, finance and foreign affairs, in addition to SOMO and executive bodies, concluded four days of talks with the Turkish delegation to negotiate the final draft for implementing the project.
The statement added that "the talks focused on completing the legal, technical and financial aspects and defining implementation mechanisms to ensure clarity of mutual obligations and rights and the requirements of the targeted projects between the two countries."
It is worth noting that Iraq signed a memorandum of understanding with the Turkish side at the end of last July to implement the project between the two countries and enhance cooperation in its management.
