Iraqi Prime Minister Highlights Significant Progress in the Fight Against Narcotics and Corruption
mesoiraq - Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi conducted a field visit to the General Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs to review the workflow and ongoing efforts against smuggling networks. During a meeting with senior directorate officials and top security leaders, he was briefed on recent achievements and existing challenges. He stressed that Iraq is fighting a crucial, irreversible battle against corruption and illicit drugs to protect the future of upcoming generations. He also noted that Iraq is now leading regional efforts in preventing drug smuggling and securing its territories, aiming to completely eradicate this threat.
