Iraqi-Saudi Talks to Enhance Joint Security Cooperation and Consolidate Regional Stability

Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi received a high-level security delegation headed by the Chief of General Intelligence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he received an official letter containing an invitation to visit Riyadh. The two sides discussed ways to elevate the level of coordination and joint cooperation to address security developments in the region. During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized Iraq's keenness to build robust relations with the Kingdom that serve mutual interests and support development trajectories. He also reiterated Baghdad's firm stance on protecting its sovereignty and rejecting the use of its territory as a launching pad for attacks against neighboring countries. Both parties agreed on the necessity of maintaining security communication and intelligence sharing to ward off risks and avoid any escalation threatening regional stability.
