Iraq's Agricultural Sector: Massive Potential and Challenges Hindering Self-Sufficiency
Agricultural specialists have explained that Iraq possesses genuine potential to achieve self-sufficiency in many crops, thanks to its fertile lands and available expertise. To achieve food security, effective government support is required by providing subsidized production inputs, adopting modern irrigation techniques, protecting national products, and establishing a true partnership between the public and private sectors to ensure sustainable agricultural development.
