Massive Fire Breaks Out at an Oil Refinery in Western Iran

Media reports indicated that a large-scale fire broke out at a small oil refinery in western Iran. Plumes of thick smoke rose from the site, prompting a state of maximum alert and the mobilization of firefighting and rescue teams to contain the blaze. The initial efforts of the operation teams focused on preventing the flames from spreading to other parts of the refinery and to highly flammable materials. Despite the rapid response and the deployment of heavy machinery and equipment, the intensity of the fire prevented direct access to its source during the early hours. The same sources denied rumors of accompanying explosions in other areas.
