Ministry of Agriculture Seizes Banned Industrial Fats Before Reaching Markets

The Ministry of Agriculture announced the disruption of an attempt to distribute large quantities of banned imported industrial fats and processed food materials, following a targeted seizure at a cold storage facility in Baghdad. The operation was executed through a joint effort between veterinary authorities and specialized security forces, who tracked the shipment arriving from a border crossing. Officials clarified that these materials are strictly prohibited under official decrees due to their severe threat to public health and their unsuitability for consumption after expiration.
