Ministry of Trade Commences Distribution of New Food Basket Batch

The Ministry of Trade has announced the commencement of processing and distributing a new batch of the food basket and the social welfare basket. The ministry urged food commodity agents across all provinces to visit designated sales centers to finalize transaction and distribution procedures. The General Directorate of the General Company for Food Commodities Trade stated that the distribution processes are being executed according to approved schedules, emphasizing the necessity for agents to comply with electronic payment system (POS) regulations to ensure work efficiency and streamline procedures. Furthermore, it affirmed that all items undergo strict laboratory and physical testing to ensure full compliance with standard specifications before distribution to citizens.
