Najaf Al-Ashraf Police Clarifies Assault Video Circumstances and Confirms Injury of Two Security Personnel

mesoiraq - The Najaf Al-Ashraf Police Command clarified the circumstances of a circulating video showing accusations against the Al-Amirat Police Center detachments of assaulting citizens, confirming that the incident occurred while executing a judicial arrest warrant against a wanted person.

The command indicated that the suspect fled to a neighboring house, and upon obtaining a judicial search warrant, the force was surprised by a group of people obstructing the duty and assaulting security personnel, resulting in two members sustaining fractures.

It added that those involved were arrested on charges of assaulting a government employee while performing his duty, confirming that necessary legal procedures were taken against them and cases remain pending before the judiciary.
