National Security Settles the Controversy Over Saddam Hussein's Image at a Baghdad Event

mesoiraq - The National Security Agency announced on Friday that it is following up on what has been circulated regarding the appearance of an image of the former regime's president during a ceremony held in the capital, Baghdad.

The agency clarified in an official statement that the image appeared within a visual presentation that included pictures of a number of figures and dictatorial regimes, noting that follow-up and investigation did not confirm the existence of any activity aimed at glorifying the defunct regime or promoting its symbols.

The National Security Agency affirmed its continued monitoring of such incidents and verification of their circumstances, to ensure they are dealt with in accordance with the law.
