Parliament Discusses Amending Traffic Law to Cancel Fine Doubling and Allow Vehicle Window Tinting

The Iraqi Council of Representatives hosted the Director General of Traffic and several directors of the General Traffic Directorate to discuss proposals for amending the traffic law, aiming to ease the burden on citizens and improve government services. Key proposals presented by lawmakers included canceling the doubling of traffic fines and reducing their values, allowing free vehicle window tinting according to specific legal regulations, and permitting the export of vehicles abroad. Furthermore, the upcoming launch of a new mobile application was announced, which will enable the renewal of driving licenses and vehicle registrations with home delivery services, streamlining procedures and elevating the standard of public service.
