Security Forces Launch Extensive Campaign to Remove Water Encroachments and Fill Illegal Fish Lakes North of Baghdad
The Baghdad Operations Command carried out a large-scale security campaign aimed at removing encroachments on rivers and irrigation projects in the northern areas of the capital. The campaign resulted in the filling and removal of several unlicensed fish lakes in the Tarmiyah district, completely destroying their embankments. These measures, implemented in cooperation with Water Resources detachments, are part of government efforts to preserve water quotas allocated for agricultural lands, prevent water waste, and support the efforts of service departments in enforcing environmental and agricultural laws.
