Sunni Endowment Files Lawsuit Against Political Analyst Over Inciting Sectarianism

The Legal Department of the Sunni Endowment Office announced it has taken official action and filed a lawsuit at the Karkh Investigation Court against political analyst Essam Hussein. The lawsuit is based on media statements that the Endowment considered offensive and of a sectarian nature that threatens civil peace and national unity. The Office emphasized its commitment to pursuing legal avenues to hold accountable anyone seeking to defame or harm the Iraqi social fabric, requesting a criminal complaint be filed in accordance with the amended Iraqi Penal Code.
