Traffic Suspended on Hamrin Bridge in Diyala Following Technical Warnings of Potential Collapse
Competent authorities have decided to indefinitely suspend traffic on the Hamrin Bridge, one of the country's most vital bridges located in Diyala Governorate. This proactive measure was taken in response to a specialized technical report warning of critical risks to public safety due to soil erosion in parts of the bridge's structure. Alternative plans include redirecting vehicles and trucks to other routes to ensure the safe continuation of civilian and commercial movement, pending comprehensive technical repairs to rehabilitate the bridge according to approved safety standards.
