Supreme Committee for Million-Strong Pilgrimages Reviews Security and Service Plans for Arbaeen
The Deputy Commander of Joint Operations and Head of the Supreme Committee for Million-Strong Pilgrimages chaired the first coordination meeting dedicated to discussing and evaluating comprehensive preparations for commemorating the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (PBUH). The meeting included commanders and directors from the Ministries of Defense and Interior, the Popular Mobilization Forces, as well as the Baghdad and Holy Karbala Operations Commands, and representatives of security and intelligence agencies. The meeting witnessed the issuance of strategic directives to secure the expected influx of millions of pilgrims from inside and outside Iraq toward the holy shrines. The gathering concluded with the approval of recommendations ensuring flexible security and service plans adaptable to field developments, with tasks and timelines precisely defined to guarantee the pilgrimage's success.
