Security Clarification Regarding Explosions in Al-Hassi Area East of Fallujah
Informed security sources have clarified the circumstances surrounding the sounds heard in an agricultural area east of the Fallujah district in Anbar Governorate, stating they were caused by the explosion of three improvised explosive devices (IEDs) left behind by terrorist organizations. The sources indicated that the IEDs were abandoned inside a drainage canal in the Al-Hassi area, and their detonation resulted in the injury of one individual. Specialized security and engineering forces immediately took necessary measures to secure the perimeter of the incident and sweep the area to prevent future occurrences, amidst ongoing field campaigns to clear agricultural and desert lands in the governorate of war remnants that pose a threat to civilian safety.
