Tehran Affirms the Cohesion of its Security and Military Institutions in the Face of Hybrid Warfare

The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence affirmed on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, that the martyrdom of several of its military commanders has not undermined the country's strength or the cohesion of its security and military institutions, emphasizing that full readiness is maintained across all sectors. In an official statement, the Ministry clarified that Tehran has successfully countered a multi-dimensional hybrid war over the past period, encompassing covert intelligence battles, economic pressures, sanctions, as well as media and psychological campaigns targeting the domestic front. It noted that the country has navigated major challenges over the past eight months, highlighting the execution of deterrent strikes against hostile targets. The Ministry warned that hostile entities, following their military failures, are now focusing on soft and cognitive warfare, along with internal incitement. It revealed intensified efforts by its security apparatus to thwart arms smuggling attempts, counter cyberattacks, and dismantle espionage networks targeting sensitive facilities.
