Basra Governorate Announces Three-Day Official Holiday for Ashura

The local government in Basra Governorate has decided to suspend official working hours for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week. The decision aims to give citizens ample opportunity to participate in the commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (Peace Be Upon Him). The governorate, alongside other southern Iraqi cities, is preparing to host religious activities and mourning processions amid strict security and service measures to ensure the safety of participants.
