Iranian Foreign Minister from Baghdad: We are Committed to Expanding Partnership with Iraq and Urge Regional De-escalation
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi affirmed his country's commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership and continuing joint cooperation with Iraq across various fields. Speaking in Baghdad, he explained that the visit comes amid exceptional regional circumstances, praising Iraq's stance against aggression. On regional matters, Araghchi emphasized the necessity of adhering to de-escalation pathways and halting military operations on all fronts, particularly in Lebanon, holding the international community responsible for compelling Israeli forces to withdraw. He also noted that navigation in the Strait of Hormuz will return to normal once current obstacles are removed, asserting Tehran's management of the security situation in the strait.
