Iranian Defense Minister Reaffirms Support for Regional Stability, Warns Against Ceasefire Violations

Acting Iranian Defense Minister, Brigadier General Majid Ibn Al-Reza, affirmed his country's support for the return of peace and stability to the region during a telephone conversation with Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. The minister emphasized Tehran's deep distrust of the United States and Israel, citing a history of broken promises and hostile actions, and vowed a decisive response to any violation of the current ceasefire. Ibn Al-Reza praised Qatar's role in the negotiations while warning against foreign military presence in the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, which he argued exacerbates security tensions. He also expressed Iran's readiness to expand defense and security cooperation with neighboring countries, particularly Qatar, to bolster collective regional security.
