Al-Mundhiriyah Border Crossing Sees Entry of Over 50,000 Pilgrims in 24 Hours

The Hussaini Processions Committee in Diyala Governorate announced that over 50,000 pilgrims crossed through the Al-Mundhiriyah border post within 24 hours, marking the beginning of peak influx for the annual Arbaeen pilgrimage. Committee head Ali Ahmed Taher stated that the eastern border terminal serves as a primary corridor for pilgrims arriving from Iran and other nations. He noted that high-density arrivals will continue for several days before reverse movement begins. Dozens of service units have been deployed along the highway connecting Al-Mundhiriyah to Baghdad, operating in direct coordination with security authorities to provide services and maintain public safety.
