Anbar Police Thwart Electricity Transformer Theft in Fallujah, Arrest Seven Suspects

mesoiraq - Anbar Provincial Police Command announced on Sunday (September 13, 2026) the arrest of seven suspects caught red-handed while attempting to steal an electricity transformer in Al-Zuhour residential complex in the city of Fallujah.

The command stated in an official statement that the arrest operation came under the direct supervision and diligent follow-up of the provincial police chief, as detachments of the Fallujah Emergency Police sector, affiliated with the East Anbar Emergency Police Department, managed to foil the theft attempt after setting a well-planned ambush for the suspects before they could carry out the crime.

The command affirmed its continued pursuit of outlaws and its determination to confront anyone attempting to tamper with public property or endanger the security and safety of citizens, in order to protect public funds and ensure stability in the province.
