Dozens Rescued and Fire Extinguished in a Commercial Building in Central Baghdad

The Civil Defense Directorate announced the successful rescue of 25 individuals and the complete containment of a fire that broke out in a commercial and residential building in central Baghdad. The Directorate stated that the fire originated on the third floor, which was designated for residential use within a building lacking standard safety measures. Specialized medical teams provided first aid for smoke inhalation on-site before transferring the injured to nearby hospitals for further treatment. Concurrently, forensic experts were summoned to initiate a formal investigation and determine the underlying causes of the fire in accordance with established legal procedures.
