Finance Minister Announces Performance-Based Budgeting for 2027

Iraq's Minister of Finance, Faleh Sari, announced that the upcoming 2027 general budget will represent a major step in financial reform by transitioning to a program- and performance-based budgeting framework. Speaking at a workshop held by the Budget Department with representatives from various ministries and provinces, the Minister emphasized that this new methodology aligns government spending with measurable development targets, significantly enhancing public fund management efficiency.
