Fire Caused by Electrical Short Circuit in Umm Qasr Facility Controlled Without Casualties

Security authorities in Basra Governorate announced the outbreak of a fire inside a rest area designated for heavy vehicle drivers in the Al-Hadama area of Umm Qasr. Official reports indicated that the flames consumed four mobile structures (caravans) within the site. Civil defense teams managed to intervene swiftly, containing and extinguishing the fire before it could spread to adjacent areas. Initial investigations confirmed that the incident was caused by an electrical short circuit and resulted in no human casualties or injuries, with damages limited strictly to material property.
