Health Minister Announces Salary Increase and Permanent Placement for 2024 Graduates

Minister of Health, Abdul Hussein Al-Moussawi, announced an increase in the salaries of contract employees from the 2024 graduating class to 600,000 Iraqi Dinars, confirming that their permanent employment status will be officially integrated into the upcoming state budget. Al-Moussawi explained that the Ministry, in coordination with the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance, worked on correcting the previous decision to clearly define the contract format and implement the salary adjustment. The Prime Minister directed the inclusion of their permanent status in the 2027 budget proposal in appreciation of their contributions to medical institutions. The Minister added that efforts remain ongoing to find administrative solutions for the remaining graduates of medical and health colleges.
