Integrity Commission Arrests Electricity Ministry Official for Embezzling Materials Worth 4.5 Billion Dinars
The Federal Integrity Commission announced the arrest of an official at an electricity distribution company in Baghdad for his involvement in embezzling electrical materials valued at approximately 4.5 billion Iraqi dinars. The Commission detailed that a specialized investigative team conducted audits at Ministry of Electricity warehouses, revealing that the warehouse manager had misappropriated electrical cables in collaboration with external parties. The arrest was executed under an official judicial warrant, and the suspect has been referred to the competent investigative judge, who ordered his detention pending further legal proceedings.
