Integrity Commission Arrests Tikrit Municipality Investment Director for Illegally Granting Land Plots

mesoiraq - The Federal Integrity Commission announced on Friday that it has arrested the director of the investment department at Tikrit Municipality on charges of promoting investment transactions and granting land plots outside legal controls.

The commission said in an official statement that it arrested the director of the investment department and seized a set of priority documents belonging to Tikrit Municipality at his residence, in addition to sums of money in Iraqi dinars and US dollars and a collection of gold jewelry.

The commission indicated that the arrest was carried out through an arrest warrant issued by the investigating judge of Salah al-Din, who is competent in integrity cases, noting that the defendant "deliberately committed acts contrary to his job duties in order to achieve personal benefit at the state's expense."
