Ministry of Justice Announces the Release of 640 Inmates

The Ministry of Justice announced the release of 640 inmates during the past month, according to the monthly status report issued by the Iraqi Correctional Department. The ministry explained that the releases covered Baghdad and several other provinces, noting that 419 inmates were released under various judicial rulings, while 221 individuals were released under the provisions of the General Amnesty Law. The ministry emphasized that the Iraqi Correctional Department continues to monitor and execute release procedures immediately upon the completion of all legal requirements, aligning with established legal frameworks and reflecting its commitment to professional and humanitarian duties with the highest levels of accuracy and responsibility.
