Ministry of Trade Updates Services File in Preparation for Iraq's WTO Accession

The Iraqi Ministry of Trade announced the commencement of updating the initial services offer file, as part of efforts to complete the technical requirements for Iraq's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO). Specialized technical committees held a series of meetings in coordination with the International Trade Centre and relevant ministries to discuss updating the cultural, sports, health, and commercial services sectors. This step comes in response to the prerequisites set by WTO member states, aiming to liberalize service sectors, increase foreign investment opportunities in the Iraqi market, and consolidate the principles of economic transparency.
