Official Statistics on Arrival and Departure Traffic via Border Crossings During Religious Seasons

The Border Ports Commission has revealed the official statistics for the movement of incoming and outgoing visitors through various Iraqi ports in conjunction with the religious seasons. The figures showed the entry of approximately 900,000 visitors and the departure of 515,000 during the initial weeks of the season. A subsequent period recorded the arrival of nearly 500,000 visitors and the departure of another 150,000. The Commission affirmed that all border crossings are operating at maximum capacity around the clock to facilitate and secure the smooth flow of travelers, under the direct supervision of top governmental and security authorities to ensure optimal services and streamlined procedures.
