The security operations command in the capital announced the implementation of a traffic plan that includes the temporary closure of the "Ya Hussein" road from the bridges intersection to the main arches. This coincides with the commencement of scraping, maintenance, and road rehabilitation works to accommodate Husseini processions and the influx of pilgrims during the upcoming Arbaeen pilgrimage. The proactive plan involved redirecting heavy cargo vehicles toward the city's western entrances instead of the southern ones, while small vehicle traffic was diverted to alternative expressways to ensure smooth traffic flow and reduce severe congestion.
