River Police Thwart Suicide Attempt, Saving a Young Man in Maysan

River Police detachments in Maysan Governorate successfully rescued a young man who attempted to take his own life by jumping into the Tigris River from the Jumhuriya Bridge in central Amarah. Security authorities reported that their patrols, deployed to secure the riverbanks, spotted the young man as he prepared to jump. Through a rapid and immediate response, the forces intervened and managed to pull him from the water. Necessary first aid was administered before he was safely transported and handed over to the relevant authorities for appropriate administrative procedures.
