Stability in Gold Prices and Slight Decline in Dollar Exchange Rates in Local Markets

Local markets recorded noticeable stability in the prices of precious metals, with the global gold ounce reaching $4,023. The selling prices for one mithqal of gold in the domestic markets ranged from 368,000 dinars for 9-karat up to 900,000 dinars for 22-karat. Concurrently, US dollar exchange rates witnessed a slight decline in main stock exchanges and exchange offices in the capital, settling at 152,500 dinars per $100 in central morning trading. Stock exchanges in other provinces also recorded slight variations, with the exchange rate reaching 151,000 dinars in Basra and 152,000 dinars in Erbil.
